Renters

The North Carolina Housing Finance Agency (NCHFA) helps local governments, nonprofit organizations, and private owners develop affordable homes and apartments. In addition, we provide interest-free loans to finance transitional and permanent housing for persons with special needs.

Our support translates into affordable and accessible housing for you and your family.

This section lists apartment communities financed or administered by the N.C. Housing Finance Agency. These privately owned apartments are affordable for households earning 60 percent or less of the median income in their area.

Use the links at the left to learn more about affordable housing opportunities in North Carolina, your rights and responsibilities as a renter, and making the transition from renter to homeowner.
