Are You Homeless or At Risk?

If you or someone you know is homeless or about to become homeless, there are several state resources that may help.

• For emergency assistance, contact your local county Department of Social Services. Each county operates an emergency assistance program to provide one-time, short-term assistance or can provide information on other local resources.
• Contact your local housing authority to apply for public housing or a section-8 voucher that can be used to pay for privately owned rental housing.
• You may be able to get assistance from the Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-housing Program (HPRP). Contact the service provider in your area.
