Need Housing with Special Services?
If you have special needs, the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency’s Supportive Housing Development Program helps nonprofits and local governments develop emergency, transitional and permanent housing that could help you. This housing is available to individuals and families with low incomes, and rents and utilities cannot exceed 30% of your gross household income.
You may be eligible if your household requires supportive services, including persons with mental, physical, or developmental disabilities; persons with substance use disorders; persons diagnosed with AIDS and related diseases; and special populations, such as domestic violence survivors, on a case-by-case basis.
To find supportive housing that may meet your needs, go to our Housing Resource Guide.
