This course provides in-depth coverage of programs offered by the Agency and our partners to assist REALTORS® and their clients. REALTORS® will learn about property and buyer eligibility, qualifying incomes and home prices and how to use these lending opportunities to make home buying a reality for their clients. Additionally, they will gain an understanding of how and when each specific program can be used to offer their buyer the greatest benefit. 

The four-hour course will cover:

1. Forgivable down payment assistance
2. Deferred second mortgages for eligible buyers
3. How to combine the Mortgage Credit Certificate (MCC) with the NC Home Advantage Mortgage™

This course is approved for four hours of NCREC continuing education elective credit. It also fulfills a core class requirement for the Workforce Housing Specialist Program.

Proceeds for this class will go to the NC Realtor's Housing Foundation, which supports disaster relief, matching grants and the Workforce Housing Specialists throughout North Carolina.
