The NC Home Advantage Tax Credit could reduce your client’s federal income tax liability by up to $2,000 per year if they apply and are approved by us for a Mortgage Credit Certificate (MCC) prior to the home purchase.

This flier explains the purpose and process of the recapture tax for buyers who use the NC 1st Home Advantage Down Payment or the NC Home Advantage Tax Credit. This tax could be due if the buyer sells his or her home within nine years, realizes a profit and has a significant gain in household income.

We offer 60-day lock-in periods for our NC Home Advantage Mortgage™. With these lock-in periods, your buyers will have the security of knowing that market fluctuations will not affect their buying power during the time their homes are being completed.
