The North Carolina Housing Finance Agency offers programs to assist home buyers; helps governments, nonprofit groups and private developers create affordable homes, apartments and supportive housing; and provides funding for rehabilitation and repair for low-income homeowners through local groups.

Home Buyers
If you need help buying your first

home – or moving up to a new one – our N.C. Home Advantage Mortgage™ offers competitive interest rates and down payment assistance that may make the difference. You may be eligible if your qualifying annual income is $85,000 or less. In addition, if you are a first-time home buyer, you may be eligible to qualify for a Mortgage Credit Certificate (MCC) which can reduce your federal income taxes up to $2,000 per year for every year you live in your new home!
