City of Burlington Honored for Partnerships in Housing

The City of Burlington was honored this month in recognition of the 25 years of partnership between the city and the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency. Executive Director Scott Farmer presented a plaque to Ian Baltutis, mayor of Burlington.

Over 25 years, investments of more than $1 million helped more than 100 families with housing rehabilitation. In addition, more than 300 students in the area have been trained in construction skills in the Construction Training Partnership with the NC Home Builders Association. The Agency thanks the City of Burlington for their stewardship, professionalism and dedication to those in need in the community.
