Hardest Hit Fund Fraud Alert Issued for Solicitation Letters

In the past week, fraudulent letters have been sent to applicants for the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Hardest Hit Fund in various states. The letters show a logo implying affiliation with the Hardest Hit Fund. 

These letters are not affiliated with the Hardest Hit Fund or any of the state programs that it finances, including the NC Foreclosure Prevention Fund. If you live in North Carolina and receive a letter that looks like the one below or raises any concerns, please call the NC Foreclosure Prevention Fund call center at 1-888-623-8631 to report it.
