The North Carolina Housing Finance Agency is pleased to announce the availability of funding for our Supportive Housing Development Program (SHDP) under the 2022 funding cycle. All sites must be approved before a full application can be submitted. A Program Description and Site Visit Request form must be submitted by Friday, January 21, 2022. The deadline for submission of the full application (parts one and two) is 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 4, 2022.
All SHDP 2022 applications and attachments must be submitted via email following the naming convention in the Application Part 1 form. The funding match percentages remain the same (30% or 40% depending on locality), however, the maximum award amounts have increased to $800,000 or $900,000 (depending on locality). Also note: within the 2022 SHDP cycle there is the regular Supportive Housing Development Program and the SHDP Existing Small Rehab Option. Please review the 2022 guidelines for clarification. Details of the SHDP Existing Small Rehab Option are located in Appendix J. If you are applying for funding through the SHDP Existing Small Rehab Option, the regular Application Part 2 form must be submitted along with a short form application that must be requested after the Program Description and Site Visit Request form has been submitted and the review is complete.
