Supportive Housing Developers

The North Carolina Housing Finance Agency offers several programs to help nonprofit organizations and local government entities build and rehabilitate emergency and permanent housing for people who are experiencing homelessness or at imminent risk of homelessness, have disabilities or other special needs.

The Supportive Housing Development Program (SHDP) aims to increase the supply of emergency, transitional and permanent supportive housing for low-income households and individuals with special needs. Find out more about SHDP here.

The Supportive Housing Small Rehab (SH-Rehab), under the Supportive Housing Development Program, is available to organizations with a current SHDP loan. If your organization is interested in SH-Rehab, contact [email protected] for more information.

The Supportive Housing American Rescue Plan (SHARP) Program is dedicated to organizations housing people experiencing homelessness and those at risk of homelessness. SHARP utilizes HOME-American Rescue Plan (HOME-ARP) funds to develop rental housing and non-congregate shelters. To learn more about the SHARP Program click here.
