
The NC Home Advantage Mortgage™ is available to both first-time and move-up home buyers. Webinars and classroom training will cover:
- forgivable down payment assistance (up to 5% for FHA, VA and USDA loans and up to 3% for conventional loans)
- $87,500 statewide income limits that are based on 1003 income
- how the Mortgage Credit Certificate (MCC) can be combined with an NC Home Advantage Mortgage™.

New for the fall, we are offering an optional additional hour of training on our Community Partners Loan Pool (CPLP) which provides down payment assistance for low and moderate income home buyers. Eligible borrowers can receive a maximum of up to 20% of the sales price in the form of a 0% deferred second mortgage when used with a NC Home Advantage Mortgage™. If you have not originated our Home Advantage Mortgage™ or Mortgage Credit Certificate within the last 12 months, and have not attended training within the last year, you must attend training before originating our programs. Loan officers must attend an in-person training.
If you would like to offer your borrowers down payment assistance that gives them 100% financing on Conventional and FHA loans, or a Mortgage Credit Certificate that can save them up to $2000 a year, every year they own their home, then please make plans to attend.
